The anti-terrorist security services in Iraq intensified their presence in the Green Zone, on Friday, in anticipation of any attack on embassies, diplomatic missions and citizens, in conjunction with Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi assurances that "no violations against the state will be allowed under any claim."
Kadhimi added that his government will use wisdom to serve Iraq and its people.
In the meantime, Hezbollah members deployed in the capital, Baghdad, in a show as the anniversary of the killing of the commander of the Quds Force in the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, Qassem Soleimani, in a US raid near the capital's airport in early January, is approaching.
Security sources in Iraq reported that members of Hezbollah began their deployment in Baghdad.
On his part, the leader of the Asaib Ahl al-Haq militia, Qais Khazali, said that his militia does not have any directive to target the US embassy.
Kadhimi notes, in press statements, that the bombing of the US embassy is unacceptable and harms more than its benefit, while considering that the military bases are available for resistance.
He also added that the involvement of what he called "resistance factions" in bombing the US embassy harms its reputation and popularity.
