Iraqi Minister of Transport, Razzaq Muhibis Al-Saadawi, announced that flights between Iraq and Lebanon will resume starting Monday. The decision aligns with directives from Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani, aimed at facilitating the voluntary return of Lebanese citizens to their homeland.

According to a statement by the Iraqi Ministry of Transport, Director General of Iraqi Airways, Manaf Abdul Munem, confirmed that the airline has completed all technical and logistical preparations to resume voluntary evacuation flights. Scheduled flights between Baghdad and Beirut are set to restart on January 1.

The ministry emphasized that this move will enhance air travel convenience between the two countries, boosting trade and tourism ties. Iraqi Airways also urged travelers to take advantage of the restored route, which will operate seven weekly flights, with the possibility of adding more based on demand and prevailing conditions.
