The Iraqi government held a funeral ceremony, on Thursday, for the 104 Yazidis, who were victims of the terrorist organization "ISIS", in Baghdad.
President of Iraq Barham Salih expressed his deep sadness over the victims on his official account on Twitter.
“A funeral ceremony is held for the Yazidi victims who were killed by the terrorist group, ISIS,” Salih wrote on Twitter. “They will be buried in the village of Kocho, which was the crime scene of the terrorist attack.”

“What happened to our sons and daughters from different religions and sects is a wound for the whole nation. The state’s duty is to do justice to those victims,” he stressed.
Other than the president, Iraqi officials attended the funeral, as well as the family of the victims.
Last Thursday, Iraq’s Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi announced the killing of ISIS’s commander Abu Yaser Al-Issawi.
“We promised and fulfilled. I gave my word to pursue Daesh (ISIS) terrorists; we gave them a thundering response,” Al-Kadhimi announced on Twitter. “Our heroic armed forces have eliminated Daesh commander Abu Yaser Al-Issawi as part of an intelligence-led operation.”
ISIS has claimed responsibility for Baghdad’s twin suicide attack, that killed at least 32 people, and wounded more than 110 others.
Moreover; ISIS confessed that two of its men blew themselves up in Tayaran Square in the center of Baghdad, according to a statement posted on the group’s Telegram communications channel.
“One (bomber) came, fell to the ground and started complaining ‘my stomach is hurting’ and he pressed the detonator in his hand,” a street vendor said. “ It exploded immediately. People were torn to pieces.”
