Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has stated that lasting stability in the Middle East will remain out of reach unless Israel withdraws from the Lebanese territories it currently controls, arguing that the continued presence of Israeli forces is a major source of regional tension.
According to statements carried by Iranian media, the IRGC said efforts aimed at reducing tensions and securing a sustainable ceasefire would have limited impact as long as Israeli forces remain inside Lebanese territory.
The Revolutionary Guards stressed that a complete Israeli withdrawal is a fundamental requirement for achieving long-term security and stability, describing the issue as central to any future political or security arrangements in the region.
The remarks come amid ongoing tensions along the Lebanese-Israeli frontier, where sporadic clashes, military operations, and cross-border attacks have continued despite international efforts to prevent further escalation.
Iran also linked broader regional stability to developments on the Lebanese front, arguing that unresolved territorial disputes and continued military confrontations risk undermining diplomatic initiatives currently underway.
The comments were made as regional and international actors continue discussions aimed at securing a permanent ceasefire and establishing new security arrangements to reduce the risk of a wider conflict.
The situation along the Lebanon-Israel border remains one of the most sensitive flashpoints in the Middle East, with growing international concern that any renewed escalation could have wider implications for regional security and stability.
Iran has repeatedly voiced support for Lebanon and has consistently called for an end to Israeli military operations and a withdrawal from Lebanese territory, while international mediators continue efforts to advance diplomatic solutions and prevent further deterioration of the security situation.
