On Wednesday, Iran’s Ambassador to Russia Kazem Jalali, said his country's foreign minister, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, will visit Russia this March.
He stressed that Tehran and Moscow, now, "are living in a golden period of developing relations," as they are gradually progressing in all fields.
Earlier, it was announced that Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and the Iranian foreign minister will discuss views on regional and international issues, including developments in the Iranian nuclear file, as well as cooperation between the two countries in international forums, the situation in Syria, Afghanistan, the Caucasus region, and the Caspian Sea issues.
The Iranian diplomat stated that his country hopes to sign a new treaty on relations with Russia in 2023.
"We hope that this treaty will be signed in 2023, but before that it must be ratified by the parliaments of the two countries," Jalali pointed out.
He added that Tehran had already sent a draft agreement to Moscow, and the two sides were currently discussing it.
