The Axios news website reported on Saturday, citing two diplomatic sources, that Iran warned Israel in a letter via the United Nations that it would intervene if the military operation in Gaza continued.

The sources added that Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian confirmed that Iran has red lines and explained that if the military operation continues, especially launching a ground attack on Gaza, it will intervene, and Israel could then risk huge earthquake.

In addition, Abdollahian met on Saturday evening with Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh in Doha.

The Iranian Foreign Minister arrived in Doha, the fourth stop of his regional tour, where he met with the head of the political bureau of the Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas.

Abdullahian said during a meeting with the United Nations Middle East peace envoy Tor Wensland, "Today there is an opportunity for a political solution, and tomorrow it will be too late."

He added that Iran does not want the conflict to turn into a regional war and wants to help release the hostages held by Hamas in Gaza.

After his arrival at Beirut airport late on Thursday night, the Iranian Foreign Minister indicated that all possibilities are possible in the region as war crimes continue in Gaza.

These meetings come against the backdrop of recent developments in Palestine, the “Al-Aqsa Flood” operation, and the Israeli aggression against the Gaza Strip.
