The Iranian ambassador to Damascus, Hossein Akbari confirmed that Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi intends to visit Syria next Wednesday.
In an interview with Iranian News Agency "IRNA", Akbari said that the Iranian president's upcoming visit to Damascus will be very important due to the changes and developments taking place in the region, stressing that this visit will also help strengthen and develop relations between both countries in all fields.
Moreover, the Iranian ambassador pointed out that this trip will not only be beneficial for Tehran and Damascus, but it is also a very good event that other countries in the region can also take advantage of.
It is worth mentioing that, Raisi’s visit will be the first by an Iranian president to Damascus since 2011.
