Iranian authorities announced heightened security measures as senior officials linked ongoing unrest inside the country to what they described as a multi-front war involving Israel and the United States.

Iran’s police chief said security forces have raised the level of confrontation with what he described as “rioters,” signaling tougher action amid continued protests in several areas.

Meanwhile, Iran’s parliamentary speaker said the country is engaged in a war with Israel and the United States across multiple fronts, framing internal instability within the context of broader regional and international conflict. He added that the government would seriously examine the legitimate demands of the public while confronting armed groups.

Iranian media reported that the death toll from the protests has risen to 116, as tensions continue to escalate alongside increasingly sharp rhetoric from Iranian leadership.

The developments come amid heightened regional strain, with Iranian officials portraying domestic unrest as part of a wider confrontation involving external adversaries, particularly Israel and the United States.
