Iranian Foreign Minister (FM) Hussein Amir Abdollahian left Tehran on Sunday evening, heading to Islamabad, where he will meet senior Pakistani officials.
The Iranian News Agency (IRNA) reported that bilateral security, economic and trade issues are among the topics of the meetings that Abdullahian will hold with the Pakistani side throughout this visit.
A week ago, a joint statement was issued by the Iranian and Pakistani Foreign Ministries (FMs) regarding their agreement to return the ambassadors of the two countries, which was achieved during the past few days, according to IRNA.
