Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Esmail Baghaei announced on Saturday evening that Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi is scheduled to visit Egypt and Lebanon on Monday and Tuesday for high-level diplomatic meetings.
In a statement, Baghaei said that the visit underscores Iran’s commitment to strengthening relations and coordination with countries in the region.
According to the spokesman, Araghchi's agenda includes discussions on bilateral relations, as well as consultations on key regional developments—particularly the situation in the occupied Palestinian territories. The visit will also cover international issues of mutual concern.
The Iranian foreign minister is expected to meet with senior officials in both Cairo and Beirut during his two-day visit. The meetings aim to foster dialogue on a wide range of political and diplomatic matters.
Baghaei emphasized that the trip reflects Iran’s ongoing efforts to enhance its role in regional diplomacy and to engage constructively with neighboring states amid rising tensions and complex geopolitical dynamics.
