Maj. Gen. Hussein Salami, Commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps ( IRGC) in Iran said today that the Coronavirus sweeping in the country may be a US biological attack that hit China first then Iran and the whole world later.
He added that Iran will come over that deadly virus, asserting that the country is engaging in biological warfare now.
The World Health Organization (WHO) announced yesterday that the novel Coronavirus becomes indigenous in Iran.
The international organization indicates that the weak infrastructure in the Iranian health sector and poor preparations complicate the problem in the Islamic Republic.
The official website of the Iranian Presidency quoted President Hassan Rouhani as saying that the Coronavirus has almost hit all provinces in the country
He vowed to surmount over that crisis to come to a new period of stability.
On the other hand, the Ministry of Health in Iran declared Thursday that toll death of the Coronavirus raised to 107 persons and the confirmed infected cases leaped to 3,513 people.
The ministry issued a statement that revealed that 15 people died and 591 infections were recorded across the country within the last 24 hours.
The Iranian authorities have decided to shut up schools and universities until the end of the Persian year on March 20.
The statement warns that the Coronavirus sweeps in full swing in Iran. It urges citizens to be serious and stay at home.
The Iranian authorities stressed that harsh punishment will be inflicted upon those who keep the concerned government bodies in dark over the deadly virus.
