Amid the ongoing Israeli and US strikes on Iran, a wave of cyberattacks has also targeted the country.

Fars news agency reported that several major Iranian news agencies were targeted and “experienced severe disruptions in their operations,”.

Some widely used mobile applications were also experiencing disruptions.

According to Tasnim News Agency, several Iranian news websites, including the state-run IRNA, have been targeted by these digital assaults.

Despite the attacks, IRNA’s Telegram account remains operational, allowing the agency to continue sharing updates with the public.

Iranian media emphasized that the attacks are part of a broader effort to disrupt Iran’s national information network.

Authorities in Iran have condemned the cyberattacks, describing them as attempts to destabilize the country and hinder the flow of accurate information.

Iranian cybersecurity teams are reportedly working to protect national media infrastructure and ensure continued communication with citizens.

The cyberattacks come amid heightened regional tensions following recent missile strikes by Israel and the United States on Iranian cities.

Observers say such attacks aim to undermine Iran’s resilience and control over its own news and communications channels.

Iranian officials have reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining national security and protecting information networks, warning that foreign attempts to disrupt Iranian media will not succeed.
