Iranian authorities announced that operations at the South Pars gas field are expected to return to normal shortly, indicating that the situation is being brought under control following recent disruptions.
The field, located in the southern province of Bushehr, hosts one of Iran’s most critical energy facilities, which, according to Israeli public broadcaster reports, accounts for approximately 40% of the country’s natural gas processing capacity—highlighting its strategic importance.
Earlier, Israeli media reported that the Israeli Air Force had carried out a strike targeting the facility, in what could mark a significant escalation involving Iran’s energy infrastructure.
There has been no official confirmation from Israeli authorities, and the full extent of the damage remains unclear.
