Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said on Monday it launched a new barrage of missiles targeting Israel, stating that the 56th wave of attacks included the use of Khorramshahr missile, Emad missile and Ghadr missile.

The announcement came as air raid sirens sounded across several areas in northern Israel, including settlements near the Lebanese border such as Manara, Margaliot and Misgav Am, according to reports broadcast by Al Qahera News.

Explosions were also reported in and around Tel Aviv after what Israeli media described as a large missile salvo launched from Iran.

Speaking to Al Qahera News, correspondent Dana Abu Shamsia said air raid sirens were heard across a wide swath of Israel, stretching from Jerusalem to Ashdod and Modiin following the barrage.

Initial reports indicated that one of the missiles may have been a fragmentation-type projectile, potentially carrying cluster munitions, which could explain the powerful explosions heard in several locations. Investigations were ongoing to determine the exact nature of the missile and the details of the attack.

According to the correspondent, debris from the missile reportedly fell on a factory in the city of Beit Shemesh west of Jerusalem. Israeli emergency services were said to be responding to several sites where missile fragments landed.

No casualties were immediately confirmed, although Israeli authorities were still assessing the situation. Observers note that Israeli officials often initially report no injuries after missile barrages before issuing updated figures later.

Official data cited in the report indicated that 142 people were receiving treatment in Israeli hospitals over the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of injured since the start of the war to more than 3,360.

Monday’s developments marked a noticeable escalation in Iran’s missile campaign, with multiple siren alerts reported earlier in the day in central Israel, including Tel Aviv and surrounding areas, following successive missile barrages.
