Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said on Sunday that Tehran is prepared to pursue diplomacy while remaining ready for war, stressing that the country will not accept pressure, dictates, or domination from any external party.
The minister said Iran’s foreign policy is based on defending national sovereignty and independent decision-making, adding that Tehran rejects any attempts to impose conditions or exert control over its policies.
He also reaffirmed Iran’s determination to continue its nuclear program, stating that the country is committed to what it considers its legitimate right, even if such insistence were to lead to military confrontation.
The remarks come at a time of heightened tensions surrounding Iran’s nuclear activities and growing international concern over regional security, as diplomatic efforts continue amid warnings of possible escalation.
Iran has repeatedly maintained that its nuclear program is peaceful in nature, while asserting that it will not compromise on its rights under international law despite ongoing pressure from Western powers.
