Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian stated that "Iran remains committed to peace and stability in the region. Recent negotiations have resulted in the exchange of practical proposals and achieved encouraging indicators. However, we continue to closely monitor U.S. movements and have made all necessary preparations for any potential scenario," according to a post on platform X.
In a related development, Omani Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Albusaidi announced that a new round of negotiations between the United States and Iran will be held in Geneva, Switzerland, next Thursday.
Writing on social media, Albusaidi said: "I am pleased to confirm that negotiations between the United States and Iran will now take place in Geneva next Thursday, with a positive effort to do more toward finalizing the agreement."
