On Tuesday, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced that it carried out attacks on U.S. military targets in the region as part of what it described as the 15th wave of its operations.
The announcement came amid a new salvo of missiles launched from Iran toward Israel, marking a significant escalation in the ongoing regional tensions.
Sirens sounded across Jerusalem and Tel Aviv as residents sought shelter. Emergency services reported multiple injuries in central Israel, including three people initially confirmed, with numbers rising to five as additional reports came in.
Israeli media reported that rocket barrages struck the Bnei Brak neighborhood in Tel Aviv, leaving four people injured. Authorities have been scrambling to respond to the attacks, while air defense systems were activated across key urban centers.
The missile launches come amid a series of tit-for-tat strikes between Iranian forces and U.S. and Israeli targets, reflecting a sharp escalation in the region. The IRGC has framed the attacks as retaliatory, while Israel’s emergency services continue to assess casualties and damage.
