A new barrage of missiles was launched toward Israel on Sunday, according to reports from Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting.
Israeli media later reported that several sites in Tel Aviv were damaged after fragments from Iranian missiles fell across parts of the city.
According to Al Qahera News, air raid sirens sounded across multiple areas following the missile launch, including Tel Aviv, its surrounding suburbs and nearby settlements in the West Bank.
Israeli authorities are investigating the incident, with local media suggesting that the latest strike may have involved a missile carrying multiple explosive warheads or cluster-type munitions, which can disperse fragments over a wide area.
Israeli emergency services initially reported three people injured and said response teams were dealing with several locations where missile fragments had fallen. However, Israeli media indicated that the number of casualties could be higher.
The latest barrage marks another escalation in the ongoing confrontation between Iran and Israel, as both sides exchange attacks amid mounting regional tensions.
