Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian emphasized that all branches of the armed forces have endorsed Tehran's current trajectory, noting that decisions were made by consensus within the Supreme National Security Council.

These statements come amid reports suggesting a lack of unanimity inside Iran regarding the memorandum of understanding (MoU) agreed upon by Washington and Tehran.

Pezeshkian stated that the terms of the signed MoU with Washington serve the best interests of Iran and its people, adding that the gains from these negotiations will become apparent in the near future.

Meanwhile, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi met with his Swiss counterpart today in the resort of Bürgenstock, Switzerland, ahead of the start of the negotiations, according to Iranian media reports.

For his part, Iranian Interior Minister Eskandar Momeni expressed optimism about the potential for achieving progress in the upcoming phase, coinciding with the launch of the Washington-Tehran negotiations in Switzerland.

Momeni added that the negotiations would resume in Switzerland with the aim of implementing the clauses of the Iranian-American memorandum of understanding.

He noted that matters are progressing well and moving in the right direction.
