An explosion occurred in a house as a result of a gas leak in Iran, leaving six people dead and two others injured, APA reported on Friday.
The incident took place in Bukan city, located in the West Azerbaijan province of Iran.

“So far, the bodies of six people, including two children, two men, and two women, who were all members of the same family, have been taken out from under the rubble,” the city’s firefighting chief, Rasool Maroofi, was quoted as saying.
Maroofi further stated: “Three people injured in this incident have been sent to medical centers for treatment.”
He indicated that the main cause of the gas blast was still under investigation, adding however that “the conditions and the method of destruction of the building resemble a gas explosion.”
