A small bus carrying a group of mountain climbers met a tragic accident in northwestern Iran, claiming the lives of ten individuals as it overturned during an ascent.

The official news agency, IRNA, conveyed that the accident occurred near the city of Fereydoun in the Eastern Azerbaijan province.
The spokesperson for the regional emergency services informed that the small bus was en route to a tourist village in the mountainous region when it overturned and plunged into a ravine for reasons yet to be determined.
Additionally, eight individuals sustained injuries, with three of them remaining in intensive care as of Saturday.
