Today, the Egypt-EU Investment Conference, was inaugurated by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, along with Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Commission. President Sisi always keeps the citizen and his interests in mind...

The conference attracted local and international attention and was attended by many ministers and officials... and a large group of presidents and officials of the most prominent companies and representatives of Egyptian and European business organizations. It opens the doors of hope for the Egyptian economy, contributing to resolving crises and employing people.

It enjoys a large participation of the private sector, which is the basis of economic development because it bears the burden of economic growth, meanwhile, the government is keen on  facilitating procedures and preventing obstacles.

The Prime Minister chaired the first session, along with Oliver Farrelly, the European Commissioner for Neighborhood and Enlargement Affairs,... All this encourages the foreign investor to invest in Egypt as there are real facilities offered by the conference which comes at an important time to prove Egypt’s economic strength.

In my opinion, the conference represents a message of confidence from the European Union to the Egyptian economy, confirming the success of the economic reform programs that Egypt implemented during the past ten years, as it was able to achieve stability, especially after liberalizing the exchange rate and eliminating the parallel market, so the negative outlook of international classification institutions on the Egyptian economy has changed to be a stable and then positive outlook, this encouraged European Union officials to come to Egypt to hold their important conference to discuss investment opportunities in Egypt.

The conference is a great opportunity since representatives of major international companies are participating in it, but it is also a challenge to prove to the world that we have an investment climate and investment environment attractive to foreign investment. We need a large campaign that explains the opportunities we have and the features that attract the investor whether in the field of industry, tourism, petroleum, transportation and other fields.

This conference will be the start point of a great breakthrough, and we will follow up what happens in the conference and implement its recommendations.
