An international conference focused on Jerusalem will take place in Cairo on July 18. This event is part of ongoing global efforts to emphasize the political, cultural, and spiritual significance of the city, according to Riyad Mansour, Palestine’s Permanent Observer to the United Nations.

In an interview with Al Qahera News TV, Mansour explained that the conference is being organized by the United Nations Committee on the Exercise of the Inalienable Rights of the Palestinian People, in cooperation with the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and the Egyptian government. He welcomed Cairo as the host city for this important event, describing it as part of the annual international activities dedicated to Jerusalem and a demonstration of the close collaboration between the United Nations, the OIC, and Egypt.

Mansour emphasized the importance of Jerusalem, stating it requires sustained political, cultural, and spiritual attention, and is as significant as Gaza and the occupied West Bank. The conference will explore Jerusalem’s religious and spiritual dimensions, in addition to its political and cultural importance, with the goal of raising awareness about the city's status and the issues it faces.

The event is expected to gather international participants to discuss developments concerning Jerusalem and reaffirm support for the rights of the Palestinian people.
