Shoukry regretted the international community is not on the right track while facing escalating climate crisis.

He said efforts are now focused on exerting serious and immediate efforts to handle the issue which, he added, is backed by several scientific reports.

The reports mentioned the bad impacts of climate change issues which have become a reality on the ground taking their toll on all countries in the world and all sectors of economy as well as walks of life, according to him.

The foreign minister said developing countries are maintaining efforts to overcome challenges and obstacles to getting financing to help them achieve the goals of the Conference of the Parties convention and the Paris Agreement.
