Early Wednesday, Telecom Egypt announced that internet services were fully restored nationwide, asserting that the technical issue that hit the network is related to one of the major devices, not related to the submarine communication cable.
Therefore, the internet services operator decided to grant all internet users in Egypt an extra 10-gegabite package as an apology and compensation.
On Tuesday, internet users in Egypt complained about various connection issues, including the outage of the services in various regions nationwide.
Some users reported that they lost the connection for more than an hour which negatively impacted their business and work process.
They also demanded a wide development for the network and ending the repeated issues with the connection.
On its side, Telecom Egypt confirmed the outage of the internet in various parts, explaining that a technical issue struck one of the major network devices.
It asserted that the company's teams are working the issue and the services will gradually return in a few hours.
