Save the Children International Organization announced today, Tuesday, that at least two thousand children have been killed in the Gaza Strip as a result of the ongoing Israeli bombing of the Strip since October 7th.
The organization said in a statement on its website: “At least 2,000 children have been killed in Gaza over the past 17 days, and 27 others have been killed in the West Bank, where ongoing air strikes have turned thousands of buildings in the Gaza Strip into piles of rubble. Smoke billows out of it.”
For his part, the Director of the organization, Jason Lee, stressed the need for an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.
Lee added, "We call on all parties to take immediate steps to protect the lives of children, and the international community must support these efforts. The only way to protect the lives of children is to stop the violence."
