Within the framework of the Ministry of Interior’s concern for the safety of citizens, and in implementation of the preventive measures taken by state agencies to limit the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19), security authorities have managed, within 24 hours, to detain violators, who broke the curfew.

Security authorities detected 7,676 violations of the partial curfew over the past 24 hours.

According to the ministry, the curfew was violated by 5,055 inpiduals, 2,228 vehicles, 255 motorcycles, and 138 auto rickshaw "Toktok" over the past day.

The Ministry of the Interior continues to follow up with all security authorities at the level of the Republic to take legal measures against violators.

It is noteworthy that Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly had previously announced that the penalty for breaking the curfew was financial fines of 4,000 pounds and can extend to imprisonment, in case the curfew was broken.
