Israeli airstrikes have intensified across the Gaza Strip, targeting residential neighborhoods and humanitarian efforts, resulting in dozens of casualties, according to Palestinian medical sources.
Early Thursday, an airstrike on a house in the Abasan al-Saghira area, south of Khan Younis, killed 11 Palestinians, including women and children. Several others were injured as strikes hit multiple locations throughout the enclave.
Hospitals, particularly Nasser Hospital, are overwhelmed with casualties, amid scenes of chaos and rising fear that the death toll will increase due to the severity of the bombardment.
In a separate incident in the central Gaza Strip, approximately 30 aid trucks carrying flour and other humanitarian supplies entered via Salah al-Din Road overnight. Hungry residents attempted to access the aid, prompting efforts by local security personnel to secure the convoy. However, Israeli drone strikes targeted both civilians and security forces in multiple raids. Ambulances attempting to reach the injured were also hit. Palestinian medical sources report at least eight people were killed in these strikes.
Further south, an Israeli airstrike on a residential apartment in the Sabra neighborhood of Gaza City killed a young girl and injured others, according to the same sources. Meanwhile, in northern Gaza, Israeli forces destroyed a four-story building belonging to the Dardouna family in the Jabalia al-Balad area during overnight operations.
The ongoing escalation continues to exacerbate the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, with aid distribution severely hampered and civilian casualties mounting.
