The Egyptian Fashion and Design Council (EFDC) and the British Council in Egypt have named Egyptian actresses Injy El Mokkaddem and Hanady Muhanna as ambassadors for the second edition of the Egyptian Fashion Awards (EFA), which will be held in September.
Afterward, qualifiers will be selected for the day of the celebration, which will be held on at the Mall of Arabia on September 26.
The contestants will present that day their designs at a fashion show in front of the jury and the invitees to the event.
The winners will be logistically supported by the British Council to participate in UK's leading fashion trade show Pure London, which connects designers from across the globe and allows them to sell their designs and make export contracts.
The other participants are also offered a chance to sell their products at an exhibition held in the Mall of Arabia.
El Mokkaddem expressed during the conference her happiness in participating as an ambassador to an important event that supports creative Egyptian designers.
"Today, I'm wearing one from one of the distinguished Egyptian designers, the brand Mamzi," she added.
Muhanna also enthusiastically spoke about the talents in the field of fashion, which are no less than any country in the world.
"We have all the right conditions to push and encourage the industry and these innovators," she noted.

She disclosed that they need to have a trade license and their work must be creative and not replicated.
