Egypt and Cyprus continue to strengthen their long-standing strategic partnership through closer cooperation in energy, trade, investment and regional security, according to an infographic released by the Egyptian Presidency and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The two countries maintain close coordination on developments in the Eastern Mediterranean, while expanding collaboration in natural gas projects, regional electricity interconnection and initiatives aimed at enhancing energy security.
The infographic also highlights the importance of the Egypt-Cyprus-Greece trilateral cooperation mechanism, which promotes coordination in energy, transport and maritime security through regular summit meetings. In addition, Egypt and Cyprus are working to expand bilateral trade, encourage mutual investment, strengthen tourism, improve air and maritime connectivity, and deepen cooperation in education and culture. Officials say the partnership contributes to regional stability, supports sustainable development and creates new opportunities for economic growth and investment across the Eastern Mediterranean.
