In three- day time, lights will be shed on Cairo stadium, where the final game of the Africa Cup of Nations will be held. See highlights Algeria's history against Senegal. The AFCON final will be held on Friday, July 19 at 21:00 pm CLT.

The Desert Warriors played against Teranga Lions on 10 occasions with five victories to Algeria versus three to Senegal. The other two confrontations ended in draws. Both teams scored 12 goals as no clash ended in a goalless draw.

They had four encounters in AFCON, with the last encounter in this tournament when the Desert Warriors pulled off a 1-0 victory.

The first game between both teams in AFCON was in 1990, hosted by Algeria where Desert Warriors defeated Senegal 2-1.

The second one was in AFCON 2015, held in Guinea where Algeria pulled off an unanswered two-goal victory. The third confrontation was in the 2017 tournament, hosted by Gabon, where they held a 2-2 draw.

The biggest result was in 2002 world cup qualifiers when Teranga Lions demolished Algeria with unanswered three goals.
