Influencer Killed in London, Ex X Factor Star Charged

British police have confirmed the death of influencer and model Klaudia Zakrzewska, known online as Klaudiaglam, after she was struck by a car outside a nightclub in central London.

Following her death, the Metropolitan Police upgraded the charge against Gabrielle Carrington, a former X Factor contestant, from attempted murder to murder.

Investigators allege that Carrington, 29, deliberately drove into Zakrzewska and two other individuals following an altercation outside the venue in the early hours of Sunday. Court documents also indicate that she was driving under the influence of alcohol, exceeding the legal limit at the time of the incident.

Zakrzewska died from her injuries, while a male security guard in his fifties sustained life-altering injuries. A third woman involved in the incident suffered minor injuries.

Detective Inspector Alison Foxwell extended condolences to the victim’s family and urged the public not to circulate disturbing footage of the incident, stressing that doing so could interfere with the ongoing legal process and deepen the distress of those affected.

Zakrzewska, who was of Polish origin, had built a substantial online following of more than 250,000 on Instagram. Her death prompted widespread tributes, including from a close friend who witnessed the incident and described the shock of the loss while also criticizing the spread of unverified claims online.

Carrington remains in custody as investigations continue. The case has drawn significant public attention due to the prominence of those involved and the violent circumstances surrounding the fatal collision.
