Today, Tuesday, Indonesian President Joko Widodo visited the city of "Cianjur" in "Java" island, which was damaged by the 5.6 magnitude earthquake that struck the region.
"On behalf of myself and the government, I would like to express my deepest condolences to the victims and their families of the Cianjur earthquake,” Widodo said, according to the US “ABC” channel, after his visit to the earthquake survivors who are in shelters.
Widodo pledged to rebuild infrastructure, including the main bridge connecting Cianjur with other cities, as well as to provide government assistance of IDR 50 million (US$3,180) for each person whose home was destroyed.
