The G20 summit in Bali, Indonesia, kicked off today Tuesday. Indonesian President Joko Widodo announced, in his opening speech, that 2023 will be more difficult for the world, noting that "the food security and energy security crises affect developing countries."
Widodo urged leaders not to plunge the world into the corridors of war, and stressed readiness to confront any future pandemic.
On Tuesday, G20 leaders and guests flocked to the summit in Indonesia, ahead of its launch at a later time.
