Indian Prime Minister (PM) Narendra Modi spoke with Britain's King Charles III, over phone.
This was Modi's first conversation with King Charles III after he assumed the office of the Sovereign of the UK.
They discussed a number of topics of common interest, including climate action, biodiversity conservation, and innovative solutions for financing the energy transition, as well as other topics.
On his part, Modi expressed his appreciation for King Charles' constant concern and advocacy on these issues.
Moreover, the two leaders exchanged views on the "Commonwealth of Nations" and ways to further strengthen its work.
They also expressed their appreciation for the role of the Indian community in the United Kingdom in serving as a "living bridge" between the two countries and enriching bilateral relations.
