Indian PM to Visit Egypt This Month

Indian Prime Minister (PM) Narendra Modi will visit Egypt this June, according to the platform of the Indian TV channel “Wion News”.

This is considered Modi's first visit to Egypt since he took office in 2014. 

Modi's visit to Egypt comes within the framework of the distinguished relations between both countries and to further strengthen them at various levels.

The Indian sources said that the Egyptian-Indian relations are witnessing a new momentum in all fields of cooperation since President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi's visit to India last January, during which he attended India's celebrations of its National Day as a 'chief guest' for the first time in the history of relations between the two countries.

The visit aims to support cooperation relations in all fields, especially in education and human development sector, as Egypt expressed its desire to establish a huge center for Indian higher education in Egypt that simulates the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs ).
