Indian Foreign Minister (FM) S. Jaishankar has expressed deep concern about the situation in Gaza Strip, saying that the humanitarian crisis caused by the ongoing conflict there requires a sustainable solution that provides immediate relief to the most affected people.
"Terrorism and hostage-taking are unacceptable," Jaishankar said, according to India's English-language NDTV news channel.
He expressed hope that the conflict would not spread within or outside the region.
The Indian minister stressed the need to respect international humanitarian law and focus efforts on the two-state solution.
