Indian Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Ranil Jaiswal announced that his country has sent a shipment of humanitarian aid to Somalia to help it mitigate the effects of its economic crisis and the shocks caused by climate change.
In a post on the social media platform X, the spokesperson explained that India has sent a humanitarian aid shipment to Somalia containing essential medical supplies, including surgical instruments, medicines, hospital supplies, and vital medical equipment. He explained that the shipment contains ten tons of humanitarian aid.
Earlier, the European Commission warned of the consequences of Somalia's suffering from the effects of decades of prolonged conflict and harsh weather conditions.
