Indian government announced on Sunday, the first suspected case of monkeypox in the country, involving an individual who recently arrived from abroad. Authorities emphasized that there is no need for concern at this stage.
According to NDTV, the suspected individual has been isolated, and samples have been taken for testing to confirm the infection.
The government assured that the country is fully prepared to manage such cases and has strong measures in place to mitigate any potential risks.
It is worth mentioning that, Monkeypox is a viral disease primarily found in the tropical rainforest regions of Central and West Africa. It spreads through close contact with an infected person, animal, or contaminated materials. Symptoms include fever, rash, and flu-like signs.
