In a continued expression of solidarity, India dispatched the second consignment of humanitarian aid to the people of Palestine on November 19th, 2023. An Indian Air Force C-17 aircraft delivered 32 tons of essential aid, landing at the Al Arish airport. This latest delivery, facilitated in coordination with the Egyptian Red Crescent, is part of India's comprehensive relief efforts to aid conflict-affected regions in Palestine.
This second installment follows the initial 38-ton aid consignment that India provided on October 22nd, 2023, which included a significant portion of medical supplies. Overall, India has now contributed a total of 70 tons of humanitarian aid to Palestine. The aid includes vital medicines, surgical supplies, disaster relief materials such as tents, sleeping bags, tarpaulins, and water purification tablets, among other necessities.
The sustained support showcases India's commitment to providing timely and crucial assistance to alleviate the humanitarian crisis in Palestine. The efforts also underline India's position in offering humanitarian support on the global stage, reinforcing its role as a responsive and responsible leader in international relations.
