Embassy of India in Cairo will organize India-Egypt Kabaddi tournament in cooperation with the Egyptian Kabaddi Federation on 30 July 2024 at Helwan University Club at 10 am-05 pm.
A total of 12 teams (six teams each of men and women) will participate in the tournament in two different categories. An Award ceremony will be organized on the same day to honor the winners of the tournament along with the India Day cultural event.
Kabaddi is an energetic sport, with seven players on each side; played for a period of 40 minutes in two spells each of 20 minutes.
It is an ancient Indian game which is very popular in the Indian subcontinent and other surrounding Asian countries. Kabaddi is one of the most thrilling games that requires both physical skills and stamina to win.
It makes the player fit and healthy. The Indian Embassy invites all sports enthusiasts to be part of the Kabaddi tournament and to cheer the players.
