India, Egypt Expand Cooperation in Services Sector

Bajel Projects Limited, a leading Power Transmission EPC company of the Bajaj Group, today formalised its agreement valued at over US$ 40 Million with the Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company (EETC) for the construction of two contiguous sections -Lot 1 and Lot 5, of a 500 kV Overhead Transmission Line (OHTL), at a signing ceremony held in Cairo.

Welcoming the signing of the contract, Ambassador Reddy noted that Bajel is part of the US$40 billion Bajaj Group and has a successful track record of implementing large-scale projects. He further remarked that the contract reflects Egypt's trust in Indian companies and the quality of Indian products and services.

The agreement was signed by Mr. Rajesh Ganesh, Managing Director & CEO, Bajel Projects Limited and Eng. Mona Rezk, Chairman, Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company (EETC) from Egypt side, reflecting the strategic and diplomatic significance of the partnership.

The combined order falls under the ultra-mega category, valued at over USD 40 Million, and forms part of a flagship national grid reinforcement programme aimed at strengthening Egypt's high-voltage transmission backbone and enabling reliable power evacuation to support the country's growing economic and industrial demand.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Rajesh Ganesh, Managing Director & CEO, Bajel Projects Limited, said: "Winning these orders is a defining moment for Bajel Projects. It builds on the company's growing MENA presence, including its 50:50 joint venture with the Al Sharif Group in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the recently launched subsidiary in Abu Dhabi, UAE by the name of Bajel T & D PROJECTS AND CONTRACTING.
