India countered Pakistan's refusal to hold G20 meetings in the Himalayan regions of Kashmir and Ladakh.
"G20 events and meetings are happening across India and it's only natural to do them in Jammu, Kashmir, and Ladakh, which are an integral and inalienable part of India," Indian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Arindam Bagchi told reporters.
India currently holds the rotating year-long presidency of the G20 and is set to host a summit in New Delhi in September.
Earlier this year, Bagchi stated that Ukraine is not among the countries invited to the G20 summit.
The official indicated that there is still plenty of time until the summit if there are any changes in the list of guests, they will be unveiled at a later time, informs Rador.
Besides the leaders of the G20 member nations, nine other countries, including Bangladesh, Egypt, Mauritius, the Netherlands, Nigeria, Oman, Singapore, Spain, and the UAE, are also invited to it.
