Main Theater of the World Youth Forum held a hologram-based concert for late Egyptian pa Umm Kulthum Friday evening. President Abdel Fattah El Sisi and First Lady Entissar attended the WYF theater inauguration ceremony.

The hologram of Umm Kulthum lit up the stage and animated one of her greatest hits; Enta Omri (1964).

The Umm Kulthum hologram concert is reportedly set to tour the region during 2019.

The third edition of the World Youth Forum is set to be held in Sharm el-Sheikh from Dec. 14-17, under the auspices of the Egyptian Presidency.

Sisi is opening the forum at 7:00 pm (CLT) with participation of six heads of state.

The third edition of the World Youth Forum is set to mainly discuss the sources of energy in the Mediterranean, food security in Africa, climate change, international security and fighting terrorism.

The WYF2019 is expected to be attended by around 7,000 youths representing different countries.

Tight security measures were imposed in Sharm el-Sheikh as the Egyptian Health Ministry said 45 ambulances and two field clinics were prepared to assist the conference rooms.

According to the forum’s schedule, participants would attend 24 sessions and 14 workshops to mainly discuss the prospects for sustainable development in Africa, challenges facing creative work in the age of technology, in addition to the energy sector in the Mediterranean countries.

Sophia, the most advanced robot and first artificially intelligent (AI) robot to be granted a citizenship will participate in the WYF as well.

The World Youth Theater activities began on Dec. 13 with a number of shows for Rola Zaki from Egypt, the Mozar team from Morocco, robot Sophia, the Horse Band from Egypt, Fatmir Mura from Albania, Kuana Adebisi from USA, and Marisa Hamamoto and Piort Iwanicki from Poland and USA.

This is in addition to a theatrical performance which witnesses the participation of 16 different nationalities.
