President Abdel Fattah El Sisi received Wednesday Arab Parliament Speaker Adel Al Assoumy who granted the Egyptian president The Leader Medal; the highest award presented by the Arab Parliament to Kings and Heads of State, according to Presidency Spokesperson Bassam Rady.

Rady added that the Medal reflected the Arab Parliament’s appreciation of Sisi’s tireless efforts to serve the Arab nation and his endeavors to reach a cease-fire agreement between the Palestinian and Israeli sides

On his part, Sisi requested to convey his greetings to his brother, His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa, King of the Kingdom of Bahrain, as well as all members of the Arab Parliament, expressing his appreciation to the Arab Parliament for granting him this high medal.In Pics: Arab Parliament Awards Sisi 'Leader Medal'

Moreover, the Arab Parliament Speaker expressed his honor to meet with Sisi, praising Egypt’s role under his leadership in maintaining Arab national security, as well as advancing joint Arab action at various levels.

During the meeting, Sisi and the attendees exchanged views on the future vision of strengthening the role of the Arab Parliament, especially through the Parliament’s “Arab Observatory for Human Rights.”

He stressed the important role of the Observatory in formulating the Arab approach and vision towards human rights issues in its comprehensive and deep sense, via its contacts with various human rights organizations around the world to explain the Arab viewpoint in this regard to be a supportive axis for the relevant Arab position.In Pics: Arab Parliament Awards Sisi 'Leader Medal'
