All Elite Wrestling continues (AEW) to impress its fans with outstanding, developing pro wrestling content. In addition, the company started to work on improving its means of production and storylines. Therefore, its biggest PPV, Double or Nothing (DoN), is among the most anticipated events in the realm of pro wrestling. Three of the most popular figures in the Arab pro wrestling community, Ahmed Hafez (Wrestling with Hafez), Shady AJ (Mosareet Al Teyous), and Mixo (Qwanen Al Halaba - Ring Rulez) revealed their deep predictions for the event.
Buy-In Tag Team Match: Hook & Danhausen vs. Tony Nese & Mark Sterling
Storyline: The highly anticipated teaming up between Hook, Team Taz member, and former Ring of Honor star Danhausen is finally turning out to be true. After several clashes between both stars, Hook and Danhausen will be united in taking down Tony Nese and Mark Sterling.
Nese and Sterling conducted an attack against Danhausen after his loss in his AEW in-ring debut. Shortly, Hook interfered and saved Danhausen.
Prediction: Both Hafez and Shady expected the victory of Hook and Danhausen as the streak to be continued, especially since DoN is just the second PPV participation for Hook, and the HookHausen team is one of the AEW fans' demands.
On the other hand, Mixo believed that this was the best chance to break his streak of Hook, especially since it was a tag team match, so Danhausen could be easily pinned.
Darby Allin vs. Kyle O’Reilly
This match was announced before the event in less than 48 hours. The story begins after Jeff Hardy lost against Adam Cole at the Owen Hart Foundation Cup tournament semi-final.
After the match, the Young Bucks, O'Reilly, Cole, and Bobby Fish attacked the Hardyz, before the Icon Sting and Allin interfered to save the Hardyz.
During the fight, O'Reilly injured Sting, so Allin asked him for a match to take Sting's revenge.
Allin took Twitter and tweeted before issuing his challenge to O'Reilly during the AEW Rampage episode that he would find his way to the DoN.
Prediction: As this match was dropped to the card after the time of having the participants' word, the writer of the article will drop the prediction.
It is obvious that the winner will be Allin. Allin was defeated in his first match in the tournament of the Owen Hard Foundation Cup, and he wasn't involved in top feuds lately, so he needs this pin.
TBS Championship: Jade Cargill (c) vs. Anna Jay
Storyline: Hook's streak of victories is not the only one on the line as the TBS Champion Jade Cargill will defend her 30-0 streak against Dark Order member Anna Jay.
The clashes between both stars started when The Baddis group, led by Cargill, attacked Ruby Soho and Kris Stadtlander after Stadtlander defeated Red Velvet in the Owen Heart Foundation Cup Tournament quarter-final. Anna Jay interfered and attacked the TBS Champion group challenging her for the title.
It is not the first time both stars were put in a face to face contact for the TBS championship as both clashed at AEW Rampage on 21/1/2022 episode
Predictions: They all expected Cargill’s victory and her to retain her title. Cargill's development and the heat she presents in the shows are widely praised. It is not the right time to cost her the title yet.
Six-Man Tag Team Match: Death Triangle vs. House of Black
Storyline: The feud between the House of Black and the Death Triangle has a new chapter to be written in the DoN. In Revolution's Buy-In, the House of Black defeated Penta, Pac, and Erick Redbeard in an impressive contest.
After the rise of the clashes between both teams and the return of Rey Fenix, the escalation will be set in a six-man tag team match.
Prediction: Both Mixo and Hafez predicted that Death Triangle would have the victory. However, each of them has a different explanation.
Hafez revealed that Death Tringle needs the victory in case the reports about the Trio-tag-team titles are true. He pointed out that Death Tringle may be the first group to win such a title.
On the other hand, Mixo expressed that Death Triangle should win to open a new chapter in this feud.
Regarding Shady's prediction, he recommended House of Black as the winner because the group's building is still in progress.
MJF vs. Wardlow
Storyline: This is one of the best-built contests in the event. The story began at the end of Revolution when Wardlow betrayed MJF and helped CM Punk win his Dog Collar match against MJF.
MJF cost Wardlow his chance to capture the TNT title and suspended his contract with him at the company. Next, MJF asked Wardlow to have a series of victories against opponents against Wardlow such as Lance Archer, and Morrissey.
The match between them was scheduled after Wardlow defeated Shawn Spears in a Steel Cage match in AEW DoN Dynamite go home in a well-written segment.
Predictions: the three observers predicted that Wardlow is the winner of the match.
Men’s Owen Hart Foundation Tournament Finals: Adam Cole vs. Samoa Joe
Storyline: Both stars managed to be advanced to the finals of the tournament, and they had an unfinished feud since their WWE NXT days.
Until now, it is still unclear which privileges could be distributed to the winner of the tournament. Is this a chance to AEW World Title? or TNT? Is it only a cup?
If it is only a cup, it should have been given to Jeff Hardy as he is the only legend who stepped with Hart in the same ring. However, if it is for a title, Adam Cole is not ready to be pushed for a title again after he lost twice to AEW World Champion Adam "Hangman" Page.
Predictions: Adam Cole.
Women’s Owen Hart Foundation Tournament Finals: Britt Baker VS Ruby Soho
Storyline: Both stars advanced to the finals, however, Ruby Soho delivered an emotional speech after beating her friend Kris Stadtlander.
As Baker's opponent was only revealed a few hours ago, the observers made some guesses before the matches.
Mixo was the only one who guessed the advancement of Soho to the finals. Mixo explained that if this tournament would be linked to the TBS title.
Soho and Cargill were the two performers who advanced to the finals of the TBS championship tournament, so there was a rematch.
Prediction: Ruby Soho.
Delete vs. Elite Tag Team Match: The Hardyz vs. Young Bucks
Storyline: The unfinished ROH conflict between the GOATs of the tag team pision, the Hardyz, who are well known for their late contributions by the Broken Brilliance gimmicks and its slogan, "Delete," and the best tag team in the past decade the Young Bucks was renewed when the Young Bucks, the Elite, escalated with Matt Hardy at some Being the Elite show before the Jeff Hardy's AEW Debut last March.
The first interaction between both teams on the TV took place after they exchanged glances after the younger Hardy pinned the Elite's Bobby Fish at the qualifying matches of the Owen Hart Tournament.
Next, Matt Hardy called the Young Bucks as the Hardyz cosplayers, before delivering two of his best promos ever.
The Bucks attacked the Hardyz after Jeff's match against Cole, and a contest between both teams was scheduled for DoN.
Yesterday, the Bucks cosplayed the Hardyz in one of the hottest 2022 segments and referred to Lita, and made their entrance with Gangrel, the leader of the New Brood with the Hardyz.
Predictions: The three observers expected Hardyz’s victory, and they asserted that this dream match would be wonderful.
Mixo added that after this match, the Hardyz would possibly be the next AEW World Tag Team titles, kicking off the Expedition of Gold II.
AEW World Tag Team Titles: Jungle Boy & Luchasaurus vs. Ricky Starks & Powerhouse Hobbs vs. Keith Lee & Swerve Strickland
Storyline: There was a big confusion regarding this match. The build of this match was so weak, as both teams stepped into the ring, celebrating their ranking rise. Alongside, the short escalation that was flamed between Starks, and Jungle Boy for the FTW title.
Next, Jurassic Express' Christian announced the triple threat for DoN. Later on, Strickland, Jungle Boy, and Sarks had a very good triple threat match ended by Strickland's win.
Predictions: Shady revealed that after the continued losses of Jungle Boy, Christian could turn heel against him, and cost them the titles. However, Mixo highlighted that Jurassic Express would retain the titles and lose them to the Hardyz soon.
Anarchy in the Arena 10-Man Tag Team Match: Jericho Appreciation Society vs. Jon Moxley, Bryan Danielson, Santana, Ortiz and Eddie Kingston
After the formation of the Jericho Appreciation Society (JAS) following the disbandment of the Inner Circle, Jeicho adapted a new gemmick, the Wizard, and decided to establish the concept of sports entertainment in the AEW. His escalations with Santana, Ortiz, and Kingston rose to reach Kingston's former tag team partner, Mox, who brought his faction, led by William Regal, to the fight.
In addition, this group represents pro wrestling, so there is a fight of ideology there.
After exchanging attacks and blowing promos, the match was set for the event.
Predictions: Shady and Hafez expected Eddie Kingston's group to victory. On the other hand, Mixo selected JAS.
Mixed 6-Man Tag Team Match: Frankie Kazarian, Sammy Guevara & Tay Conti vs. TNT Champ Scorpio Sky, “All Ego” Ethan Page, & Paige VanZant
The fight between both groups was essential for the TNT title before Conti and Paige were involved in the fight. Sky defeated Guevara, and shortly, Guevara retained it in Battle of Belts II before losing it again in a breathtaking ladders match.
Conti and Guevara stole the title from the American Top Team group, and stole more titles from the group's center with Kazarian, who wants a title shot for the TNT.
Page set a stipulation for the match which that is the losers won't ask for other chances for the TNT title.
Prediction: Mixo selected the American Top Team for the win.
AEW Women’s World Championship: Thunder Rosa (c) vs. Serena Deeb
Storyline: The fight between both figures was created in NWA, so there is a matter of revenge her. Rosa didn't beat Deeb for the NWA title.
However, Deeb wants to haunt her AEW title.
The promos between both stars were lower than expected. However, fans believe that this match will be a strong contest.
Predictions: Mixo and Shady selected Thunder for the win.
AEW World Championship: Hangman Page vs. CM Punk (Hafez/Shady = Punk-Mixo = Hangman)
Storyline: This could be the strongest feud of the year in the AEW so far. It started after CM Punk issued a challenge for the AEW world title that is carried by Adam Hangman Page.
Hangman won the title in the latest edition of Full Gear in November 2021 after defeating Kenny Omega, and he defended his title several times against Bryan Danielson, Dante Martin, Lance Archer, and Adam Cole. So, his build and title reign are acceptable and balanced.
However, the fans seem to support Punk more to the world title.
Predictions: predicting this match was not easy as it is not good to cost an original AEW face the title, although Hangman is one of the long-term projects by the AEW.
On the other hand, CM Punk's popularity would be deeply helpful for enriching the legacy of the title.
Some AEW fans hinted that the match could end in DQ due to the interference of NJPW star Kenta who commented on Hangman's performance for the GTS that is also used by Punk, claiming that he was doing it in a better technique.
Mixo predicted Punk's loss, while, Shady and Hafez selected Punk as the winner.
It is expected that several NJPW stars will appear in DoN or following events to set the storylines for AEWXNJPW: The Forbidden Door.
DoN is coming this Monday from T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. Regarding the Forbidden Door on June 26.
