In a new tradition for the Russian Cultural Center in Cairo, a Russian delegation congratulated Egyptian women on International Women's Day and presented them with a bouquet of roses as they passed by the headquarters of the center on Tahrir Street, in Dokki.

Alexei Tiffanyan, Director of the Russian Cultural
Centers in Egypt, stated that the celebration of International Women's Day is a constant annual tradition at the center, where women and girls working with the center are honored with flowers and gifts.
‘This year we decided to celebrate the walls of the center to congratulate Egyptian women on the International Day,’ Tiffanyan added.
Arseniy Starkov, Deputy Director of the Russian Cultural Center, expressed his happiness with the Egyptian women’s response to their honoring with roses, which reflects the simplicity of the Egyptian personality and characterized by their humor and acceptance of others.
Dmitry Tarasov, Director of the Russian TASS News Agency in Cairo, said that the initiative was carried out within the voluntary work of the Papeda Russian association, which participates in many charitable and cultural activities in the framework of supporting human relations between Egypt and Russia.
‘The joy of Egyptian women and girls in the congratulation of the Russian delegation in the street and at public transportation, reflects the place of the Russians in the hearts of Egyptians after a long journey of joint cooperation, especially as we celebrate in 2021 the year of Egypt-Russia.’ confirmed Sherif Gad, President of the Egyptian Association of Graduates from Russian and Soviet Universities.
