Immigration Minister Intervenes for Releasing Egyptian Detainee in Saudi Arabia.

The Ministry of Immigration and Egyptian Expatriate Affairs intervened for the release of an Egyptian citizen, who has ended six months in prison in Saudi Arabia.

The detained Egyptian has submitted all procedures regarding his release.

On her part, the Immigration Minister Nabila Makram held intensive contacts with Saudi concerned bodies and the Egyptian consulate in the Kingdom to find out the real reasons behind the failure to release the Egyptian detainee after completing his imprisonment sentence.

Makram explained that there was a mistake in the name of the Egyptian detainee leading to a delay of his release.

The minister stressed the need to verify the name of the Egyptian national, calling for his rapid release.

As a result, the Saudi concerned bodies decided to release the Egyptian citizen after verifying all his documents.

The minister expressed her deep thanks to the competent Saudi bodies for their swift response to end the procedures regarding the release of the Egyptian citizen.

Noteworthy, Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud ordered the release of a number of Egyptian imprisoned in Saudi Arabia in different cases last February, according to the Saudi Press Agency.
