On the sidelines of Nabila Makram Abd ElShahid, the Minister of Immigration and Egyptian Affairs Abroad participated in the Arts and Folklore festival “AlAfrosiny from October 27th till30 October The minister accepted the invitation to spend a day with the Egyptian children in France in a Nubian house.
The children, along with the friendly people of Aswan, introduced the minister to the proper Nubian customs, traditions and lifestyle. They displayed the original Egyptian identity abroad; They also offered the minister the special Nubian tea and talked to her about the famous Nubian foods like “ElKabik.” And “Ateer.”
Mr. Kamal Hassan, a member of the Egyptian community in Paris expressed his gratitude for the minister’s acceptance of the invitation and confirmed the opening of the new headquarters in Aswan to supply the city with the needed medical equipment and industrial equipment.
The members of the Egyptian communities abroad who are originally from Aswan confirmed their utter love and appreciation to the city through their helpful services to Aswan’s people and communities.
The minister complimented their efforts and expressed her admiration to their sense of loyalty and belonging to the city.
Makram thanked the community members for the invitation praising the Nubian rich, original and various customs and traditions, praising the community’s ability to keep their Egyptian cultural and social roots.
Makram is attending the opening ceremony of the Arts and Folklore festival “AlAfrosny” today in its fourth session. The ceremony takes place on Nile boats to the tambourines sounds and folkloric dances under the slogan “Arts and Music meet in the African Youth Capital.”
The festival’s goal is to support the African Chinese relations and to achieve the human communication using the delicate power of art, culture and heritage.
Makram confirmed that the festival is the perfect place to exchange culture and knowledge between the artists, specialists and craftsmen, adding that the festival will strengthen the communication bridges between different people around the world.
On her side, the President of the festival Soheir Abd ElKader explained that organizing the festival in Aswan came as a part of the country’s general plan to increase and strengthen the African relations as 30 countries, 16 folkloric bands and 13 documentary films are participating in the festival as well as some famous celebrities.
The festival’s fourth session is sponsored by a number of the Egyptian Ministries including the Ministry of Culture, the Ministry of Tourism, the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the Ministry of Solidarity, the Ministry of Immigration, the Ministry of Antiquities and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to support the Egyptian African and Chinese relations in the Cultural and Touristic fields.
