The Ministry of Immigration and Higher Education are striving hard to solve the problems faced by Egyptian parents whose children are attending high schools in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

A few days ago, Sada El-Balad English (SEE) published a complaint from the  parents about the refusal of private universities in Egypt to accept their children's enrollment papers.

Some of the members of the Egyptian community in the UAE, who received high grades, were not allowed to join Egyptian private universities.

The students, who were surprised by the decision, noted that the reason for their rejection was that they did not sit biology exams. It should be noted that all the students studied health science (subject) instead of the required biology.

Secretary-General of the Council of Private Universities Seddik Abdel Salam Tawfik

Upon the publication of the complaint, Secretary-General of the Council of Private Universities Seddik Abdel Salam Tawfik reassured that the issue will be examined and resolved during the next session of the Supreme Council of Universities.

Today, Minister of Immigration and Expatriates Affairs Nabila Makram contacted the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Khalid Abdul Ghaffar to resolve the issue.

Dr Khalid Abdul Minister of higher education,

It should be noted that the Ministry of Education decision is the ultimate hope of the students because it is the only competent authority to consider their complaint.

On her part, Makram added that Shawqi confirmed that in the next few days the ministry will examine the health science discipline and if it is compatible to Biology, there will be no obstacles to their enrollment in Egyptian scientific faculties.

In the case of non-conformity, both ministries will work together to provide alternative solutions for students.
